West Atlantic Way

This 70km way connects Assenta Sul, Torres Vedras, to Cape Carvoeiro, Peniche. It has a low degree of difficulty and allows to witness the scenic beauty of the region. Being a linear route, it can be done from south to north, starting at the Praia da Assenta in Torres Vedras, or from north to south, starting at Cape Carvoeiro in Peniche. Along the way, you can see imposing dune systems, unique geological and paleontological structures with more than 150 million years and numerous life forms, from the avifauna to the species that inhabit the zone. All this always accompanied by magnificent windmills, by the sea, almost always in sight, and, at the end of the afternoon, by the sunset.
