Aqueduct Trail - Óbidos
The Aqueduct of Usseira, also referred to as the Aqueduct of Óbidos, is located in the parish of Santa Maria in Óbidos, was built by Catherine of Austria around 1570 and has revolutionised the town's water supply system. With its origin in a spring in the town of Usseira, it ends at the Royal Fountain of Santa Maria de Óbidos Square, making a total of six kilometres, three of them underground.
This trail begins at the Tourist Office of Óbidos and heads towards the centre of the village to visit some of its most unknown corners. Around the wall, one arrives at the trail that runs parallel to the aqueduct.
